She would absolutely volunteer herself to stay behind. I know all her loved ones would be unhappy especially Fenris and Varric. Fenris would have some choice words for my Inquisitor, Lyra, about it even knowing this is something Alura would absolutely do.

Perhaps it may be different for the HoF after what they've gone through. And who knows what they go up too while they searched for a cure to the Calling. I'm a little disappointed though what changed after VG according to that AMA.

The Calling typically starts around 30 years after the Joining so I would imagine the HoF MAY be starting to hear it during VG but I wouldn't think the physical toll & changes would have progressed that much yet like in that art. That's just my thinking though.
