Ik heb zo'n apparaat met een bak eronder. Die kun je als mandoline gebruiken (maar dat doe ik weinig) maar ook blokjes of staafjes snijden door een stuk groente erdoor te drukken. (Als een frites-snijder) Ik ben er blij mee. Schijfjes snijden/raspen doe ik vaak met de keukenmachine.

I use the dicing on mine a lot (different model) but also (with the holder + chain mail glove) the mandoline for slicing lots of onions.
(For either quick pickling or caramelising in the slow cooker, depending on season and desires.)

My box grater … totally different story! Have grated tips of fingers and knuckles.. I’m petrified using the damn thing!!🙄
