Also worth noting: Oda has NEVER had to resort to spending pages describing powers as far as I can recall.
Even mangaka I enjoy have resorted to this, and it's just so bad and lazy.

One of the biggest strengths of battle shonen is how often power is directly connected to the emotional state of the characters.
