Fuel shortages have now reached Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia’s main oil-producing region, with footage showing kilometer-long queues at gas stations.

Region produces around 40% of all Russian oil, about 203 million tonnes in 2025.

The region's governor, Ruslan Kukharuk, announced this on his channel on the Max messenger app . "We're expanding the current social support measure—a one-time benefit for spouses celebrating their wedding anniversary. It's currently available for couples celebrating 70 years of marriage," the head of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug wrote. Kukharuk added that payments for spouses married for 75 years will amount to 75,000 rubles, and for citizens celebrating 80 years of marriage, 80,000 rubles.
