Beach time with @maplerubica.bsky.social and @inabatomochan.bsky.social. The inspiration for this one really came together after Maple's recent schedule doodle, having already wanted to draw Tomo's swimsuit.
#TomoPandArt
#MapleRubicART
Semi-chibi art of Maple the rosy maple moth, Star the bobcat, and Tomo the red panda at a beach having a splash fight just a bit into the water. Maple is on the left and her swimsuit is a plunge top and a wrap skirt that's pink with red and blue flowery shapes on it, she is also wearing a seaglass necklace and a pink and yellow five petal flower with her hair curls straightened. Her wings are spread while she splashes water from cupped hands directly at Star. Tomo is on the right and their swimsuit is a frilled off the shoulder top and a layered ruffled skirt that's white with multiple colors of polka dots, also wearing a blue seashell necklace and a tiger lily with their hair in twin brainds. Their arms are in the air after sending a splash of water directly up. Star is in the center and her swimsuit is bandeau top with an transparent one-shoulder part and a transparent skirt over brief bottoms that's cyan with orange starfish shapes all over, she's also wearing a labradorite necklace and a sunflower with her hair in a pony tail. She is raising her left hand to block Maple's splash while looking towards Tomo and their oncoming scatter splash. Everyone is happy and has the maximum amount of freckles!!

A collection of @maplerubica.bsky.social based art I hadn't posted yet. The bottom left is in distinct response to art she did where she was Super Short. The two on the right are pretty new and it's our tomodachi forms, which is to say @inabatomochan.bsky.social's mascot critters.
#MapleRubicART
4 pieces of art featuring Maple and Star in some way: -In the top left, the two are in pink pajama tops in their usual respective strawberry moth and bobcat forms, shoulder to shoulder gently headbutting each other. -In the top left, the two are again in their usual strawberry moth and bobcat forms, but Maple is about half a foot shorter than usual. Star is wearing her springtime yellow overall dress over a blue cyan and green open shoulder top, looking perplexed and saying "Something's different... your hair?" while Maple is wearing a pink open shoulder light sweater and black leggings, looking at Star innocently with a thought bubble containing a tortilla chip labled "Chep". -On the right are two pieces where we're represented but little fluffy creatures reminiscent of fruit with leaves. Mine is a passionfruit with reddish purple outer fluff with little yellow speckles that hangs a little over the face like bangs, lynx-like inner fluff tufts on the cheeks and seed-like freckles, a heart shaped chest pattern, two leaves splitting on top of the head and wing like leaves on the back, a passionfruit blossom on the head, and a blue bandana with yellow karakusa patterning. Maple's is a lemon with yellow outer fluff that has pigtail like tufts on the side of the head, a tuft of inner fluff bangs and cheek tufts, blushies, a tall multi-leaf sprout on top of the head with a pink and black bow at the base, a thick leafy tail reminiscent of an aloe leaf, and a pink bandana with gold karakusa patterning. In the first image we are simply sitting there looking at each other with our tongues sticking out, in reference to Maple's art of her creature. In the second image, I am flying up to place a lemon blossom on her head.

Oop, it's past midnight. This is a set of doodle for @maplerubica.bsky.social, which the first was just a silly thing that I'm not sure what inspired it, but I went ahead and gave it a second part to make it into cute birthday art. A lot of focus went into the wings on the first part.
#MapleRubicART
Two panels with strawberry lemonade moth Maple and blueberry lynx Star. The first part shows Maple's back as she faces an oncoming Star sprinting towards her at full speed, arms opened to accept her fate. The second part shows her fate, which is a receiving a big hug; Star is halfway to flying through the air with her arms thrown around Maple and their heads are pressed against eachother, making happy, cartoony squinty faces. Star is in her default green petal top and blue star skirt, and Maple is in her jacketless white top and black skirt with pink stripes.

More #MapleRubicART and #TomoPandART that I started yesterday for nya nya day. Orange cat gang!
Tomo designed their own, and so I designed Maple's since I assigned her type of cat and tweaked my usual lynx self a bit. And it just so happens our outfits coordinated!
Tomo, Star, and Maple as cat people, sort of looking like a family photo. Tomo is a red-orange brown and white calico patterned Maine Coon cat wearing brown plaid overalls over an orange sweater. Star is her strawberry blonde-orange with red markings color scheme in a Siberian cat inspired design, wearing a purple overall dress over a cyan sweater that exposes her shoulders. Maple is blonde with orange highlights Norwegian Forest cat with some pink highlights and curls, wearing a blue shoulderless dress with a matching headband with a bow, a light pink sweater underneath, and a sea glass necklace. They're each labeled with their respective breed of cat.

I don't think this needs any explanation, except that it was going to be a silly doodle until I went all in on it.
It was fun to follow up with Tomo on how to flesh them out more here though!

Tomo the Red Panda and Maple the Rosy Maple Moth standing side by side in Green Hill-esque area. Tomo is much bigger than Maple; they are labeled Speed type with their fist out, while Maple is labeled Power type and is giving a gentle wave.

Oh look, it's the winter illustration I wanted to have done for Christmas but then everything turned grey for a few months. Anyway I remembered how to do things, so here's some art. #MapleRubicART
Winter nighttime scenery illustration of Maple holding cupped hands in front of her. Hovering above her hands is a glowing point of yellow light, casting a warm glow on the immediate vicinity in contrast with the blue shadow on everything else. Maple is wearing a blue dress with white trim, a matching cape, fluffy earmuffs, and blue cable knit leggings. The background is a low brick wall with snow-covered pine trees in the distance, and snow is falling.

New art! Three moths. An atlas moth version of Tomo with Maple and a matching rosy maple moth version of me sitting on their shoulders. They seem nervous, but I would be too if I had two cute girls on my shoulder whispering encouragement.
#TomoPandART #MapleRubicART
Tomo as an atlas moth, with fluffy orange antennae and brownish hair with dark spots on the side bangs. On their left shoulder is a tiny Maple with her hand on Tomo's face, and on their right shoulder is a tiny strawberry haired rosy maple Star with her hand on their neck. They're all in open shoulder outfits.

Woop, @maplerubica.bsky.social and I seem to have fused
This is an idea that came to me in a vision, wherein I determined I was not ready to draw it, and then when I was ready technically I then sat on it for a couple weeks or so until inspiration brought it together.
#MapleRubicART I think
Art of a short and soft lady with traits of both a bobcat and a rosy maple moth, joyously floating with her wings spread in the sun beams with a background of coniferous trees. She has fluffy neck length light strawberry blonde hair with dark pink streaks and side bangs that split into two pink curls each. The top of her head has pink tipped bobcat ears and orange moth antennae, a black and pink maple leaf ribbon, windswept bangs and a heart ahoge. She has pink and green heterochromatic eyes with black scalera, pink neck fluff with a sunflower on it, pink and yellow wings, and a short tail that matches the hair. She's wearing a pink cardigan with yellow ribbons and ginkgo leaves on the sleeves in a way that exposes her shoulders, a blue and pink plaid skirt, and a sleeveless asymmetrical light green dress underneath everything that splits at the bottom with a fancy trim and a vine pattern. Her footwear is a combination of black and brown boots with a pink top and teal laces, over a pair of green strawberry patterned socks.

Art of Star holding up her sunflower lantern facing the viewer saying "She loves lantern." while Maple is leaning forward staring directly into it with her wings half spread. Star is in blueberry lynx form, Maple the usual strawberry lemonade moth. Both are in their standard outfits.

A good few of my recent doodles have been of and for @maplerubica.bsky.social and @inabatomochan.bsky.social. Here's a compilation of them! Most of these were based on discussion, some just intrusive thoughts.
#TomoPandArt #MapleRubicART
5 different pieces of varying degree of doodle, featuring either Maple Rubica the rosy maple moth or Inaba Tomoko the red panda: -The top left shows them from the waist up as cat people instead of their usual animals, with Maple's blonde and pink hair forming a sort of tabby pattern, and Tomo having a calico pattern and fluffier tail with her two shades of red hair and white fluff accents. They are wearing their sleeveless crop tops without their jackets, making cat paw poses. -The bottom left shows a mini moth Maple in a low detail version of her normal outfit having been put in the Swear Jar as it is labeled. The lid has holes in it and she's against the glass visibly yelling, likely more swears. -Next to that is a Maple's chao design, a pink based flight type with yellow accents on the stomach arms and feet, but with pink and yellow moth wings and a little black and pink bow. Her emotion orb is the disgruntled spiral with half lidded eyes, like when a chao is woken up. -In the bottom center is a chibi Tomo with a a cute little bean eye expression mostly in their usual outfit, except their jacket is roughly twice the size as normally proportioned so the sleeve belts are dragging on the floor. -On the right is a full body drawing of Maple with out her jacket, and Juniper, a partially white cat with patches of dark brown tabby at her feet. She has her hand up to her forehead and is slightly leaned over saying "Where is my sweet baby?", unable to see Juniper obscured in the shadow of her breasts while she licks her paw. Her skirt was accidentally mirrored here.

I had finished this last night while we were actually seeing summer out, but
here's an outfit swap! I put bee Star in @maplerubica.bsky.social's summer outfit, and likewise Maple in Star's warm weather outfit, at a lighthouse!
#MapleRubicART
Two bug girls standing against the railings of a lighthouse. On the left is Maple the rosy maple moth wearing Star's green sunflower buttonup over the seafoam tube top, blue shorts with yellow lining, brown sandals with gold stars, labradotite necklace, and sun hat with green band and a little sunflower on it. She has yellow blonde hair with pink streaks, dark scalera with a hexagonal pattern, pink neck fluff, pink and yellow wings, and bipectinated antennae sticking out of the hat. On the right Star is a bumble bee girl wearing Maple's open shoulder white dress with lace trim around the skirt over a pink and red strawberry patterned top with ruffles around the arms, white open toed sandals with strawberry bows, and a floppier style sun hat with a red band and white flowers. She has her strawberry blond hair here with thorax stripes in darker red, 3 additional oculi type eyes across her forehead all with dark scalera, transparent wings, and geniculated antennae sticking out through the hat. Their hands are touching at the pinkies.
