Board approved consent items and several resolutions including environmental wellhead funding (Resolution 3-26), zoning ordinance repeal (Ordinance 0-4-26, amended), support for a TRG application (Resolution 1-26), a WCA local-control substitute (Resolution 4-26), and several grant budget amendments; one grant item (R-8-26) was pulled because award notification had not been received.

The committee authorized county signatures on a mutual release and lease-termination agreement with UW–Stevens Point for the Wausau campus while retaining language that preserves each party’s rights for environmental contamination claims; members requested UW be apprised of county concerns before full board action.

County staff reported closeout of a DNR-funded Fenwood Creek watershed phase (2023–2026) with nearly 1,000 acres of cover crops, reduced tillage and multiple waterways installed; a five-farm pilot program that paid incentives for reduced phosphorus continues with participants reporting they will maintain practices.
