A art exhibition catalog with the words "Edward Ruscha Lannnan Museum" printed in white letters. This is on a colored background of horizontal bands in yellow, orange, red and black, recalling a sky at sunset. The cover mimics one Ruscha's well-known word paintings. A book entitled "Japanese Erotism". It shows a19th century couple embracing and kissing. The lady's robes are in red, grey and green. The man's are in black stripes and light blue. Titles are in white against a greenish background. A photography book entitled "Pierre Verger: Le Messager / The Go-Between 1932-1962). It was published in French and English. The cover has a monochromatic photo of a tall, barefoot black man, steering the rudder of a large flat boat or raft. We are looking up at him. He looks over our heads, straight out at the water. The main title is in large white letters at the top of the book. A book entitled "Changing Impressions: Marcantonio Raimondi & Sixteenth Century Print Connoisseurship". A detail image from one of this artist's prints appears on the cover. Background color is a pale sepia yellow tone. In black ink, the image shows the left shoulder and head of a woman holding a lighted torch against the sky. The shoulder we can see is bare. She is looking down and one side of her face can be seen in profile. The torch tilts to the top right corner of the cover. Beneath it, the spires of a village and some trees appear on a hillside. To the left, above and behind the lady's head a large tree is partially visible.

Many of the engravings by Marcantonio Raimondi (c1470/1482-c1534) are of unknown paintings. This one of "Prudence" from 1513/1514 is thought to have been after a painting by Raphael (1483-1520). #marcantonioraimondi #engravings #engraving #print #prints #raphael
