A Little Bee-eater holds his lunch (a bee) in his beak as he sits perched on a slender branch. Clinging to the trunk, a Red-bellied Woodpecker eats hungrily at fruit from a tropical tree. A Great Kiskadee pauses in the act of dashing a vole in its beak against the large limb it is perched on. Kiskadees are normally insect eaters, but as with many birds, the are opportunistic feeders and will avail themselves of other forms of food. A female Marico Sunbird stretches for the nectar from a tree's flower.
