A long, narrow landscape-mode altar frontal made with watercolor on glue-prepared wood. At the center is a medallion depiction of a haloed, Mary Magdalene with long blond hair, sitting behind a wooden table in the wilderness, hands clasped in front of her, gazing down at an open book. At her right elbow sits a human skull, just beyond which is a tall wooden cross. The altar frontal around the medallion is richly illustrated with a design of flowers, birds, butterflies, and fruit.
