TUR LEVNON (MOUNT LEBANON) — The Mount Lebanon Transitional Council (MLTC) has rejected a disputed maritime agreement between Turkey and Libya, aligning itself with Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Israel as a renewed diplomatic confrontation over maritime boundaries and strategic influence intensifies across the Eastern Mediterranean. In an official statement, MLTC said it opposed what it described as the “vertical partition” of the Eastern Mediterranean, arguing that the arrangement would undermine the geographical and strategic interests of several countries bordering the region.
