Sometimes “organic” is less a health claim than a permission slip. 🌭😂 Wiley Miller skewers the logic of treating cholesterol-on-a-stick as virtuous because somebody slapped the right label on the cart. 🥬 #NonSequitur #Food #Satire #MarketingUbique
A Non Sequitur cartoon by Wiley Miller. On a city sidewalk, a street vendor operates a small cart labelled “CHOLESTEROL ON A STICK,” with a smaller sign reading “IT’S ORGANIC!” Several deep-fried-looking snacks stand upright on sticks atop the cart beside condiment bottles. One passerby, already holding one of the snacks, tells another, “EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, YOU’VE JUST GOTTA SAY TO HELL WITH IT…” The joke pits the indulgence of blatantly unhealthy food against the soothing modern label “organic,” as though one virtue could cancel the other.
