It is the height of summer, so if you want a parking space at Ashland State Park, come early. Once you do there's a lovely loop trail where for about 4 miles you can see boaters and anglers, and blooming lily pads, and a shaded trail.

Thanks to our team effort, the Senate passed Mass Parks for All’s Amendment 324 to the Senate Ways & Means FY 2026 budget on a 39-0 vote. This adds $500,000 to the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s (DCR) Parks and Recreation Operations account.
