When I first took this cutting of a Tōtara Matapouri Blue 3+ years ago we didn't know then that I'd be moving my preferences into different #Bonsai styles now, but this one lends itself so much to a typical or traditional style i think I'll go ahead with that into the future.

This one has been trimmed back to its basic structure and now looks lost in its large development pot.
Will repot into an appropriate size for development after it settles from today's work.

Well suited for a future shohin kind of sumo style I reckon.

That's the last of the somewhat high-risk work for me this season.🤞

On to optional small up-potting of seed & cuttings grown trees then get ready for spring. Tidy up & more benches & water collection & storage.
