BREAKING: Baby Yoda Has Died
But the interior of the Lars farm is still intact. It was filmed inside an actual place, the Sidi Idriss Hotel in Matmata, Tunisia. It is a traditional Berber underground house, but because of the tourism around the movies nowadays it still keeps the sci-fi decor that was added to the architecture.

Especially because I’m pretty sure his desert hermit outfit was based on what people were wearing in Matmata where it was shot. It’s what they still where or at least it was twenty odd years ago when I visited.
