I am of the opinion that the Ashmont-Mattapan Scenic Railway is Boston’s most underrated attraction, and I don’t understand why we don’t MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

When I was a cab driver in the mid-80s, there were only two neighborhoods I wouldn’t go to: Mattapan
and Charlestown.

Those were tough places 40 years ago

Every time I see Mr Spock I remember his mother used to work at Woolworth's in Mattapan MA. She was a little white haired woman. I was in such awe of her. Now I'm a little white haired woman but with a young mindset.

This is the very thing that would be great for @mayorwu.boston.gov's redesign of Blue Hill Ave. Extending the Orange Line would be a bear and a half (at least), but an LRT from Forest Hills to Mattapan Station would be amazing. And the @mbta.com may even be able to pull it off.
