There was a real joy in just developing a build whose mechanics felt cool and powerful instead of blindly following some Maxroll/Icy Veins guide. I’m in Torment 3 and might not ever hit Torment 4, but that’s fine because this build is mine
I really have to applaud the class designers for Spiritborn. It’s an intricate, interlocking thing, wide open for experimentation and surprises; every time a new unique popped up it felt like it could service dozens of builds, not just one. It’s so fun. The other classes feel archaic in comparison.
My bespoke Spiritborn build in Diablo 4 is so goofy. I have functionally eliminated the concepts of “resource cost” and “cooldown”. I have to put a death grip on my controller to press 5 buttons simultaneously that are almost all casting skills multiple times a second
