Oh, it's #MechanicalMusicMonday again..!
Sorry I'm a bit late. Here's a delightful coin-operated disc-changing Polyphon, dating from around 1900.

Ever wondered how Golden Brown by the Stranglers would sound, arranged for and played on a Dutch street organ..?
No? Me neither.
This is a (perhaps unexpectedly) good rendition of one of my favourite tunes and yeah, I am liking this a lot..!
(Also, mechanical organs are fascinating and cool.)

#MechanicalMusicMonday isn't over yet, you lucky people.
So here's Mechanical Music Man's delightful street organ with an amazing arrangement of The Sign by Ace of Base.
Maybe I'm weird, but I prefer this over the original :-)

My earlier #MechanicalMusicMonday post featured a Dutch street organ, owned by James, a.k.a 'The Mechanical Music Man'.
How does it work? Over to James...

Doing my part to spread a little joy, it's #MechanicalMusicMonday again..!
I remembered that this Monday falls on the twenty-first of September...
Appropriately, here's an arrangement of Earth, Wind and Fire's timeless disco classic, played on Mechanical Music Man's beautiful street organ.

I'm still awake; it's #MechanicalMusicMonday again!
I wasn't aware of he Hupfeld Phonoliszt-Violina until fairly recently.
The video reveals there's control over vibrato and bowing speed; pretty impressive (though this example might need a little adjustment. It is rather old.)
