A richly detailed mechanical samurai sits inside a cramped, shadowy fortune-telling space filled with gears, wires, smoke, and ceremonial objects. The figure occupies the right side of the scene, leaning forward toward a small folded piece of white paper held delicately between articulated brass fingers. Its pale, expressionless face resembles a carved mask, partially hidden beneath an elaborate black and red samurai helmet decorated with engraved metal plates, cords, circular mechanisms, and hanging paper talismans marked with Japanese characters. Large exposed gears and mechanical joints form the chest, shoulders, elbows, and forearms, blending traditional armor with intricate clockwork construction. To the left, several large interlocking gears rise beside the figure's hands as curling white smoke drifts around them. A clear glass sphere rests below on a cluttered surface tangled with cables and mechanical components. Warm golden light enters from the upper left, catching suspended particles and the edges of polished brass while the background remains dark and enclosed. The combination of shrine-like ornamentation, fortune-telling objects, traditional Japanese armor, and elaborate machinery creates the appearance of an ancient oracle reconstructed as a clockwork samurai.
