Bio oil didn’t do much for me, but mederma definitely helped. I used it after open heart surgery and of the 3 types of mederma I tried, I liked the spf cream one the best. It wasn’t greasy and it seemed to absorb well and lessened my scar by a lot. 10/10 would Recommend

Vitamin E oil and manual scar tissue manipulation can help some. Mederma helps, too. Keep it out of the sun. That’s all that I can remember.

My sister who is like a smart medical person said it's a toss up if it'll do anything for my scars since they aren't BUMPY they're just PIGMENTED (very flattering I know) so it might not do a lot. But I wanna try it out anyhow.

there are some scar lotions you can use for it. my mom made me use mederma on my wrists back in the day and i don’t have any marks left anymore so it worked pretty well
also i think that avoiding mirrors and trying to reduce my stress has helped me the most, since those are my triggers

Pre bedtime fun: I just put some overnight Mederma scar reducing cream on my pasta testing burn on the stripe from my lip to the bottom of my chin.

It's from a different company, Mederma, and I don't know yet if it's good. Very possibly worth a try to reduce bacteria and mechanical stress, even knowing that you'd probably have to reapply after every meal.

This stuff. it's good for fading scars and stretch marks. I used it on my BIG scar after my emergency laparotomy in 2006 & that scar is barely visible now. I've also been using a cream called Mederma PM at night.
