I had some old websites hosted at MediaTemple and didn't really much attention when they were moved over to Go Daddy but now I want to cancel them all and wow......MediaTemple really was great and GoDaddy really does suck for hosting.

If anyone else ALSO has the particularly overwhelming web issue of being a former Mediatemple customer who sold to godaddy and were subsequently abandoned / now watching the wheels fall off the car, i may have found a solution. Happy to discuss.

I deactivated all plugins and it was still an issue. I’ve got GoDaddy (Mediatemple sold us out) and I’m guessing that’s the problem as literally everything else has been as well….

So GoDaddy, who my domain is ran through as they bought out MediaTemple added a free AI web building tool.
I had no option to say no or skip and after clicking through it altered the DNS so it no longer pointed to my GitHub pages site.
All fixed now but that was a sucky thing to do GoDaddy.

I got screwed over by dreamhost when they shut down my site because i got too much traffic following a major media feature. I transferred from them *to* Mediatemple — i know people are happy with dh now but they really sucked and ruined the single most significant press opportunity i ever had

Around 2005 you got to create integrated accounts everywhere with shiny Web 2.0 UIs running on Rails. For your site that was hosted on MediaTemple of course.

@ryancross @bemap Am also at MediaTemple for same time. Except some announced updates, no nasty suprises (yet), but no full Linux access tho
