#MegaGeometry
Microsoft has announced "Cooperative Vectors" API to get tensor core support for normal shading/compute shaders. This is hopefully going to kickstart development usage of faster machine learning in game graphics. But how about MegaGeometry? This is a huge (positive) change vs. standard DXR.

It's very funny to use the nvRTX 5.8 branch, MegaGeometry uses a BLAS and CLAS to raytrace nanite geo correctly, in 5.8 Epic added their own CLAS implemenation, the cvars are a little close lmao play the guessing game which is which

So, wait, Megalights is from Epic Games, and Megageometry is from Nvidia. Got it.

Just think of how incredible rendering would be if we could put together megalights, megageometry, megatexture, AND megafunctions into a single thing!!! It would be ….. mega

Awesome work team. Love what you do. I read the blog but I didn’t see mention of what benefit MegaGeometry is delivering. Any chance y’all will reveal more info on that specifically?

No I remember it wrong, megageometry is how the game handels vertices in relation till culling and RT or something. But it uses another cached geometry system that is a different way to achieve Nanite-esque results with highly detailed objects with less LOD popping.

Megageometry is part of the latest update which is an Nvidia Neural Rendering thing and it is kinda like Nanite but not really. It's all confusing.
