Tesla has an earnings call today and hopefully will explain what is going on with its battery business. Deployments fell 15% in Q1 2026 versus the same quarter last year. Elon's obsession with spaceships, robots and AI is hurting his EV business, could the same be true of his battery business?

like, that's great, those megapacks seem good, but not sure why they get tax breaks for them, meanwhile our roads will get majorly fucked up in that area, but ok.

I should add the storage facility would house Tesla ‘Megapacks,’ big batteries to store energy — so there’s an opportunity to rally anti-Musk protestors. Would pull it away from the 15-minute city conspiracists, though. Oh well!
