Newest watercolor is the mysterious theropod, Siats. #watercolor #paleoart I painted this dinosaur back in 2013 when it was first published on as a carcharodontosaur. From what I understand it’s more likely a megaraptoran based on more recent research.

Gonna be dropping this doodle dump (which I rarely do that much due to real life) that I made during October.

That’s the technique used with pretty much all fragmentary dinosaurs.

For example Invictibellatrix.

She’s the new megaraptoran recently discovered.

It’s known from a partial braincase that was compared to many different types of theropods, and was most similar to other megaraptors.

Isle of Wight Skull in a Drawer Since 1924 Is a New Clawed T. Rex Cousin
Named Invictibellatrix amberina, it’s Europe’s first known megaraptoran: a 5-foot, likely feathered hunter with claws up to 8 inches long.

That art is amazing. I love how you recreated Megaraptoran in pixel art. Well done, tine! 👍🏻

They look terrifying. For me the megaraptoran are the scariest dinosaurs because they’re more similar to horror movie creatures than the frightening force of nature creatures like the t rex.

Invictibellatrix amberina. A newly described European Megaraptoran. In fact, this is the first officially identified Megaraptor from Europe! So it’s a pretty huge discovery overall!
Been working on my shading. Still have a long way to go!

Isle of Wight fossil identified as new dinosaur species
Invictibellatrix would have been up to four metres long with feathers and had 20cm claws.

I did some art of the newly described Invictibellatrix recently! I ended up leaving the label for this one more generic though, as realistically this illustration can comfortably represent pretty much any early megaraptoran.
