Good fun at the Outpost today. We managed to run our Chain of Command 2 'Road to Meiktila' demo game twice for people who have not played Chain of Command before. Thanks to @stormofsteel.bsky.social for helping run the games. Plentyvof positive feedback.

OTD 80 Years ago - 17 Ind Div & 255 Ind Tank Bde left the Irrawaddy bridgehead and began the charge to Meiktila in the decisive battle in Burma. The greatest combined arms manoevre battle of WW2!

OTD 80 Years ago - 17 Ind Div & 255 Ind Tank Bde left the Irrawaddy bridgehead and began the charge to Meiktila in the decisive battle in Burma. The greatest combined arms manoevre battle of WW2!

OTD 80 years ago The Battle for Meiktila was over. It had been a hard fight, intense street fighting in sweltering heat. Japanese reinforcements were on the way though and the Siege of Meiktila was about to begin. Two VCs were won in just four days clearing this small town.
