SHAFT likes this motif; they do a similar thing for a scene in Mekakucity Actors
(And they're right to, it's a good one)

Mekakucity Actors is not what I could call "good" on its own but it sent me down a rabbit hole and firmly made me a Vocaloid fan so that's why it's here

Silly Anime trend thing. Not necessarily my favorites, but stuff that impacted me and the way I watch and think about the medium.

The 9 Anime That Shaped Who I Am
Of COURSE Naruto, Fairy Tail and Reborn had to get in there, but also everything else is something I hold dear (in case of One Piece its pre-timeskip part)
Mekakucity Actors and Reborn in particular were like THE reasons I began making OCs long time ago

I'd heard about Kagerou Project before its anime, "Mekakucity Actors", aired in 2014. After watching some of the episodes, I was hooked to Kagerou Project and its songs.
How the composer, Jin (Shizen no Teki-P), told amazing stories using songs was absolutely genius! 🙂↕️🎶

Não sei quando o conceito de cenários Liminal Spaces começou a se popularizar mas gosto como o anime Mekakucity Actors se aproveita MUITO bem dessa temática, é tudo desconfortavelmente familiar e vazio, é interessante

Yea! It was gonna be called Mekakucity Reload, but there have been court fights for the rights to it, so it might never come sadly.
Although they released a 20 minute OVA, taking place in a different timeline than the anime 👀
But it kinda spoils Ep1 of the anime
