I hope none of you are sleeping on Meldryth!

I know something that's not common knowledge yet, I wonder who can guess what it is

And if you know, you know ;)

10. ) Meldryth's read a LOT of history books. But nothing has been more comprehensive or honest than Asten's recount of history, as someone who descends from tyrant Skelmish kings.

Also, it seems they might end up as great friends once she graduates!

Two characters captured from the first panel of Ponderwick's Prologue, Page 9. Asten (left) is waking a tired Meldryth up, after both have been awake studying together since midnight.

I was going through some old project files to recycle some assets, came across this one shot which I still love

Have this because I'm really missing Meldryth rn

Ponderwick Characters, Meldryth (left, a Northernborder Elf) and Asten, Earl Tussley (right, halfelf). Asten is presenting Meldryth something out-of-frame, which has her looking in disgust, while Asten has a sombre look on his face.

I'm so sorry friend 💔🫂 I'm hoping things get better for you real soon!

You know my Ponderwick OCs will always be around to keep you company!
Earl Asten Tussley from Ponderwick, looking down from atop a watchtower. Aellis, an archer knight from Ponderwick. They're casually greeting their colleague, Orland with a bright smile. Orland reacts in the inset panel by rolling his eye back, unamused at their lack of military discipline. A portrait of Meldryth (she/her), a Northernborder Elf character from Ponderwick. She's smiling closed-eyed, while holding an open book in her left hand. Livius from Ponderwick, sitting on a log in an open field.

NOO!! Don't make me choose!

They're ALL beautiful in my eyes!

But I don't think the world is ready for Livius with a beard and his hair down 🥴

I ONLY write morally-grey characters here, there's NO binary good/bad in Ponderwick!

You think Livius is heroic?
You think Asten's flawless?
And what about Aellis, Orland or even Meldryth?

Well... 🥴 I'll let you judge their characters as the story goes on! It's a fantasy tale of power...

In what ways is your original character problematic? Do they learn to grow from these faults or do they never change from these issues?

Oh hey it's that portrait that's hanging all over Tussley Castle

[ #Ponderwick 🔸 #Asten 🔸 #webcomic ]
A webcomic panel from Ponderwick. Asten (with the white hair) and Meldryth (Orange blonde hair) are following Orland, a knight. Meldryth is distracted by Asten's Earl Tussley portrait hanging on the wall. Another panel from Ponderwick, with Asten fresh out of a bath and in his bed chamber. He is setting down a book on a storage chest. In the background, the same portrait of him hangs to the left of his mirror.

Speaking of Meldryth, I'm sorry that she doesn't get near enough love from me!

She's a Northernborder Elf, like Aellis. Maybe not a major character, but don't sleep on her smarts... ☝🤓

Have this uncropped panel from Ponderwick: Prologue, Page 4! (18+) She'll be back...

[#Meldryth🔸 #Ponderwick]
Meldryth from Ponderwick, a Northernborder Elf sitting next to Asten. She's looking at him and listening attentively, while Asten's explaining to her a part of the book they're reading together.
