Considering Meledi is kinda getting know for being closely tied with birds, I am picking up Zephyr for her ASAP.

After the new job showcases for Bastion and Zephyr, are you considering picking up any of the newly added jobs for your wol / oc going forward?

Her official name is Meledi Mavis Laine de Borel. Her adventurer paperwork still says her name is Meledi Laine though (she forgot and then refuses to update it)
#WoLQotD What is your WoL's government name? The one they cash checks out under. The one on their taxes and documents.

I think this would be very appropiate for a legendary dancing phoenix like Meledi.
She is more special balanced, despite being a physical ranged as she coats her weapons with aether making them magical attacks. A true menace on the field I would hope with her speed.

Describe your characters in three emojis. Are they a WOL or a ffxiv OC?

For Meledi it is the bluefeather doombanes and wings.
One of the shards of Meteion, her own starbird Rhythm, gifted her with these at the end of SHB after she restored its hope for a better future. They amplify her dynamis empathy ability.

Up until EW Meledi uses a griffin as her mount. Afterward she uses the bluefeather lynx or her own phoenix wings (Wings of Ruin in game, but completely white)
#wolqotd #WoLQuestion #WoLQOTD
First one of these ever, haven't seen it asked.
What mount does your WoL favorite? Which one would they use the most when travelling around the area when they're not Teleporting?

For Aymeric, it was pretty much love at first sight.
For Meledi, it was a slap to the back of her head from Estinien that made her realize what kind of feelings she had been suppressing for a while.

Getting more and more fond of Meledi being Wind Primary element with everything I am able to tie to the element.

Getting more and more fond of Meledi being Wind Primary element with everything I am able to tie to the element.
Despite her main element being Fire, Meledi is very much like the Air and Sky.
Graceful, flowing, ever adapting, elegant and graceful, she favors the blue and whites. Her connection to birds and cloudkin (chocobo’s not included). Her joy in being able to spread her own wings.

Meledi keeps Meledi Laine as her adventurer name.
In official capacities and at home in Ishgard, she goes by Meledi Mavis de Borel (Nee de Fortemps).
Aymeric will take Laine as his surname when he is accompanying Meledi as an adventurer.

For WoLs who get married during the story, do they keep their last name, take their spouse's last name, or do their spouse take theirs?

If Meledi didn’t end up with Aymeric so early on (heavensward), she probably would have ended up with Thancred in Endwalker. After he learns to let go of his past mistakes and betters himself, and Meledi sees him with Ryne.

If your character weren’t shipped with who they are, who would it be?
In verses where Lakiir is the WoL and deals with,,, canon events,,, he ends up with G’raha Tia or Koana, depending on - couple things. When Lakiir is WoL he’s kind of a ho tho, he’s banging everyone.

Meledi tends to be quiet in strategy meetings unless she has information that could affect one strategy or the other. She is an attentive listener, since she isn’t that versed in strategy and wants to learn.

Meledi is rarely angry. She tends to bottle her rage up till the next opponent of the hour swoops in and beats their ass.
She is rather scary though when she gets angry.

It is my fifth anniversary of starting FFXIV with Meledi! The past five years have been absolutely wonderful and I hope we get many more. So many amazing moments, new friends, and so much time spent.
I would do it all over again for my beautiful girl.
