I never posted my TAZ:Balance art here, since it was pre-bsky (2019). But just saw some Taako come across my feed, and was inspired to remedy!

So, the Tres Horny Boys and the Town of Refuge!

A stylized bust portrait of Taako (You Know, From TV) from The Adventure Zone. He is tan and blonde, with a long face, heavily hooded eyes, and buckteeth. He wears a purple wizard hat and a magenta open-chest shirt or robe. A stylized Half-Body portrait of Magnus Burnsides from The Adventure Zone. He is readying the Chance Lance ( a lance made from the arm of a large clock). His back is to us, showing off his Shield of Heroic Memories, Steven the Goldfish and his axe are strapped to his hip. A stylized, full-body illustration of Merle Highchurch from the Adventure Zone. He is a stumpy man with a large nose, half-moon spectacles, and a fluffy white beard and pony tail. He wears a wreathe crown of tropical leaves and flowers and robes inspired by a Hawaiian shirt. He holds out a Chick Tract about pan with his arm, which is made of the bark of a tree. In his other hand he holds open The X-treme Teen Bible. A stylized illustration of the Town of Refuge. There is an orange/red cast over the entire image. Sparse clouds circle tightly above the town square of a western looking town. There is a Second Empire home at the very back, a clock tower, and a bank in the background. At the center of the square is a statue of three figures: An adult male miner with a pickaxe, a cloaked figure, and a little girl and a floofy dress. In the foreground is a wagon filled with barrels and a peak at a building that offers "Piany Lessons".

I decided to start relistening to The Adventure Zone Balance and holy fuck I didn't realize how fun this would be to relisten after I'd kinda forgotten part of it. If you haven't listened to it before I'd highly recommend it!

i had a very rough sketch of this on my notes app and it is written with the caption "this came to me, not in a dream, but a pre-sleep mind space. One to be feared"

so naturally, i had to draw it #tazbalance #theadventurezone #thezonecast #magnusburnsides #taako #merlehighchurch
An assortment of sketches of Magnus Burnsides, Taako, and Merle Highchurch from The Adventure Zone. Magnus is wearing blue lipstick with big shiny eyes. He is surrounded by a background of pink and white sparkles, next to an image of Spongebob wearing lipstick of a similar shade. Taako is looking at Magnus, stunned while holding the lipstick. Merle is nervously sweating in the background with the same lipstick applied. In the background, there is a faint sketch of Magnus and Merle going through Taako's items.

started my first re-listen of taz balance since starting it in 2018 (?)

and i just wanted to explore what their origin backgrounds were vs the characters they ended up becoming... they are interesting... #tazbalance #theadventurezone #thezonecast #magnusburnsides #taako #merlehighchurch
Depictions of the main playable characters from The Adventure Zone, based on their origin backgrounds. Magnus Burnsides is a human man (Folk Hero), shown with a bandana around his neck and holding a knife in his hand. He is smiling eagerly while wearing a green vest, assorted adventurer gear, and his hair is loosely pulled into a ponytail. Taako is an elven man (Acolyte of Oghma), shown holding a book in one hand and wearing robes and accessories of the entity's favored colors: black, white, grey, and gold. He has long, wavy brown hair that is lighter at the ends and golden eyes. He wears a plain expression while looking off to the side. Merle Highchurch is a dwarven man (ex-mercenary soldier), depicted in a green cloak and chainmail with a dreary look on his face. He has short grey hair, long beard, and glasses. In the background, there is a faint outline of a tree that depicts a sign that reads: "Craig's List! (Cat face) Don't Steal!" Depictions of the main playable characters from The Adventure Zone, based on their development Pre-Story and Song. Magnus Burnsides is a human man with short brown, but greying hair. He wears adventurer gear, a red bandana around his neck, and a golden necklace with the letter "J" engraved on it. He is tearing up from laughing with a wooden duck on his head. Taako is an elven man and wears a large wizard hat, form-fitting yellow sweater, a cape, white-heeled boots, with various golden accents and accessories. He is making a silly gesture with his hands and is chuckling to himself. Merle Highchurch is a dwarven man and wears a floral pattern shirt with khaki shorts. His grey hair and beard are decorated with flowers, and he winks while holding an open book. In the background, there is a faint outline of the inside of a spaceship with a window looking out to a floating dog in space.
