We have that on Merseyrail. They had to do a lot of platform raising work before they rolled out the new fleet, but it worked. There's still some stations without stepfree access though.

It was all going so well. Made it to just outside Stafford on the train on time. Then we got told there was a train in front of us that was doing a track inspection. Stood outside Stafford for around 40 mins. Got a bit further and then stopped again. Going to miss the last Merseyrail train now.
