At this point, Facebook is a complete effing nuisance. If I’m not seeing some right-wing butt-kissing every other post, the app is just trying to latch onto me like a starving lamprey for my information, OR it’s being hacked by someone trying to launder money through MetaPay.

Starting my week off with a fraudulent "METAPAY" charge on one of my credit cards... not what I wanted to deal with before I've had my coffee.
Now to figure out which merchant got popped that I've used that card at recently 🤔 I've only used it four places in the last 30 days (2 physical, 2 online).

Had to get a new debit card for my quickbooks checking account. Checked my account and had a dollar and some change left. All in the name of “METAPAY: Joshua Rodriguez” I have no idea how they got my info. It’s my business account and not linked to Facebook at all. What a pita.

Is anyone else getting weird charges from metapay?? My debit card is no where saved on my insta and my fb is deactivated??? Feeling not great about that!

Y’all. Go make sure you IG doesn’t have your bank cards saved!
I have NEVER input my info on IG and somehow it had SEVERAL of my cards (old and current).

Short steps: Transfer and delete photos. Cancel all permissions and communication with other apps. Delete all personal info esp. CC info in MetaPay. Make as private as possible. Unfriend and unfollow all but a few to check in on your acct. Change your profile name and password. Delete.Uninstall.
