would be a funny metascam, I just haven't seen the payoff presented yet. thus far it looks innocuous enough and given how broken X is it is entirely plausible that this should be their current fraud reporting process

I believe recent AI, crypto scams are merely the end point of the metascam of financialisation that has been under way since the 70s.
When it all tumbles down, I'm not going to have much sympathy for merchant bankers, day traders, tax lawyers etc. They can jump out the nearest window frankly.

I really liked them but it seems like the world would have been a better place if we had just stuck with Friendsreunited.
