and like as a plot point this is actually fine, but *at the level of metathinking the show explicitly asks us to be on*, it has to be addressed that their metaphor for predation became a civil rights metaphor

Back at my first high school, there was what was considered the remedial science class, Science for Living, and I got put in it for a week by a scheduling error, but I read the whole textbook that week, and OMG, it was a really good way to approach the metathinking of science.

Heh even the stereotype of "intelligence" blows. It's not one number. It's those varying skillsets, ability to apply them, I'm great in some things but absolutely suck in others. Even "intelligence" is this really complex jungle, not one thing.
