If you didn’t know, workers at the Tesla factory in Sweden have been on strike for over 1 year cuz Tesla refuses to sign a collective agreement with the TU (standard in Sweden for all employers). The Metalworkers Union says they have enough funds to sustain the strike for decades. 🧵

Muisca metalworkers in highland Colombia cast this gold figure sometime between 900 and 1550, then threw it in a lake. That was the plan. Tunjos were offerings, deposited in lagoons and caves, never worn, never displayed. 5 inches tall, barely a quarter inch deep.
