I’ve refilled my RA medication monthly for 2+ years without issue. This month, I was repeatedly pressed about pregnancy, which has never happened (I also cannot get pregnant as I lack the required organs). Apparently, this has been a thing since Roe fell:

Methotrexate is often used for arthritis patients for example. My dad uses it so his hands can continue to be usable.

Misoprostol is used in many aspects of OBGYN care (abortion, miscarriage management, cervical prep) and to treat ulcers. Methotrexate is used to treat ectopic pregnancies and in the management of autoimmune disorders like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis.

Today is Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026 and I'm generally well. I take methotrexate on Wednesdays, once each week, 10 tablets, for rheumatoid arthritis. My pulmonologist said that we need to move me to another medication because it is now damaging my lungs. She will notify my doctor. Booger.

If you take pills that are crumbly or extra bitter or just unpleasant to swallow, buy empty pill capsules and put them inside. (Looking at you, methotrexate and folic acid!)
