August 7th, 1823, was the first recorded metiorite fall in Maine. It happened in Nobleboro, which is about 20 miles from where I live. Most meteorites are composed of iron and nickel. Over the years, I've kept a lot of pieces of slag and melted metals. I wonder if somewhere in there is meterotite?
