What I’ve always loved about this poster is that Bond is presumably piloting that plane using his dick.

It's such a striking location. And reputedly built by fairies...

Katherine Butler - a nun who was one of the first women in Ireland with a pilot's license

Gráinne Cronin - First woman to fly for Aer Lingus

Madeleine O'Rourke - Dedicated her life to flying, first women to fly a microlight in Ireland and recognised by the FAI for contribution to Irish aviation.
The Dáil has heard a suggestion that Dublin Airport be named after the former Taoiseach Sean Lemass.

Any counteroffers?

Yes - I fly a microlight. Airspace around airports is tightly managed and monitored. The helicopter shouldn't have been anywhere near that approach zone. Its systems would have been giving warnings minutes beforehand. It should have been impossible to be there, then.

The ‘Demoiselle’ was a small aircraft built in France by the Brazilian aviation pioneer Alberto Santos-Dumont. Constructed from 1907 onwards, it was one of the very first microlight aircraft, as well as one of the first sports aircraft.

Just think of the misery this country could have been spared if that bloody microlight had hit the ground a bit harder…

Rochester Airport - viewed from the Holiday Inn's car park - we saw a microlight take off while we were there which was amusing for so many reasons (most of them the wrong ones)....

an idea that's been on my mind ever since a friend bought it up: you could have a pedal-powered microlight pretty trivially on Titan - an enclosed cockpit roughly the size of one of those one-person e-cars, a sort of arcade game bike setup inside w/ an inductive pickup to power an electric motor...

What a brilliant story. And the pictures.

"During the flight, human foster parents sit on the back of the microlight, waving and shouting encouragement to the birds as they fly."
