It was...okay. Pretty much one big fight between the Micronauts, the FF, and creatures summoned by Psycho Man. I still prefer the Micronauts being tiny on Earth, but it was neat for nostalgia's sake

Daily X read. Domino's luck saves their ship. The Micronauts who didn't die/the ones Marvel still own show up to help. Vanessa is revealed to be in Kane drag. But Psycho Man knows Kane will come for her and he can steal his tech to upgrade his zombie soldiers.

I would like to have seen Lucas pushing it where he intended - the midichlorians were the “Whills“ and the Whills were tiny people who lived in your blood and controlled the Force.

I have been trying to read Mantlo's Micronauts because I got the omnis for cheap. Yeeeeaaaah I don't think this is for me. Mantlo writing with the Marvel method, Golden and him clashing, editorial forcing the Earth parts, and Mantlo working with such a massive cast just doesn't mesh well for me.

Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, Batman Year One, Usagi Yojimbo, Peanuts, Lynda Barry's strips, the Mantlo/Golden Micronauts, Lone Wolf & Cub, that old Origins of Marvel Comics compilation, Daredevil Born Again.
I've been looking forward to this issue for a while. This is the one issue of the original Micronauts series I had as a kid. Other than a random and often reprinted late 70s issue of Justice League this was my first team book, though I was completely lost. This cover absolutely rocks
