Torna el temps de microsafaris

Ara que ve la primavera tornen els microsafaris.

Had a blast last week at the @nabtbio.bsky.social national conference & got to present to several dozen Bio teachers about the #Microsafaris you have seen here over time. Even did a live demo & captured this elegant Stentor showing off for those awesome teachers! #iteachbiology #microscopy #Edusky

I could not agree more -- That's a part of why I spend lots of time in my bio classes with my #Microsafari project - so kids get hooked on microscopy! Here's a playlist of our videos over the years - youtube.com/playlist?lis...

VERY True! I create #Microsafaris with my 12 year old students & they love them! youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Thanks! I treasure getting to do lots of what I call Microsafaris with my middle school students --- a great way to explore cells, ecology, taxonomy, optics, and, of course, microscopy!

Thanks! I've been changing equipment over the years to get to where I am today --- you can appreciate the evolution of my tech over the decades in my YouTube playlist here -- youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Yay for that Phase! I'm politely envious ;) This was the 40x objective with 1x on the iPhone, and the Labcan Ultra gives a 15X boost. I love my 310 - I'vebeen filming for years at school - youtube.com/playlist?lis...

You are SO right! and I love spending extended time with my middle schoolers as we engage in what I call Microsafaris! youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Here's my Latest #Microsafari video --- A collection of ciliates trapped in a slowly evaporating drop of water that started to look like a Rorschach blot.

I especially love the flexibility of the individual paramecia cells in this!
