The Azure SQL Knowledge Source capability extends the range of enterprise data sources that makers can leverage when building agents in Copilot Studio. This enables organizations to bring business-critical information stored in Azure SQL into their agent experiences using the same knowledge-centric approach that customers already use across other supported knowledge sources.

Microsoft Copilot Studio is enhancing the Evaluations experience to help makers better understand agent quality and behavior. New capabilities include richer evaluation explanations, agent reasoning traces, cited knowledge sources, evaluation run comparison, support for larger datasets, customizable test generation, and dataset generation from knowledge sources.

Microsoft is enabling Microsoft Dataverse as a native knowledge source in Copilot Studio, expanding the platform's ability to ground AI agents in structured enterprise data. This enhancement allows organizations to leverage business-critical information stored in Dataverse—including records, customer data, operational data, and business application content—as a trusted knowledge source for agent experiences.

Agent Readiness gives makers a real-time, always-visible health check for their Copilot Studio agents. A single "Review" indicator in the build experience surfaces anything blocking or at risk — from policy restrictions to missing evaluations — before it derails a publish.

Shadow AI agents are being created across tools like Salesforce Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Cursor, Zapier, and Retool without IT or security visibility. Previously, autonomous agents could only be used and managed by makers, limiting their reach to the people who needed them. Run-only sharing enables makers to securely share autonomous agents with end users, allowing users to benefit from agent-driven automation without requiring edit permissions or ownership.
