It's tempting to finish all those Laura Kinsale audiobooks I bought, but I'm pacing myself. I love Nicholas Boulton's narration, and I wish he narrated more historical romance books.
Current read is a whimsical one. I already adore the genius heroine & her hedgehog. #HistoricalRomance #RomanceBooks

And let people enjoy things, not everything is a documentary. How many murders happen in small English villages and yet Midsommer is on season 20?

Also all of Midsommer being based on Roman war propaganda rather than real practices
Prompts a fun question: whats the most niche historical inaccuracy in a piece of work that annoys you
Not like 'oh they were referring to the wrong king' , more 'they had the wrong king on a banknote in one scene'

Why do book characters consistently have wildly anachronistic names.
Anne Hathaway is currently playing a Colleen Hoover character who is a women in her early 40s in the 2020s named *Verity Crawford*
Other media does not do this, if this was an original film she’d be called Lucy

Watching a Midsommer Murders I've somehow never seen, which involves masks of political figures, nuns, a David Byrne-Jones stained glass window being damaged (my biggest stress so far! PRB FOREVER!) and random strangulation.

Forsinkels...

I just watched both versions of The Wicker Man (one obviously much better than the other) back to back and wondering if I should now watch Midsommer. Any thoughts?

Midsommer is just long. Stuff happens consistently throughout.
This is just life sucks for peasants. At least Agnes finally got as fed up with things as me.

I watched Midsommer last night, I think it’s a great movie. You have to put yourself in the outsiders shoes, especially Dani/Christian with the pace being very slow. I liked Will Poulter in this as he should be a good character actor now he’s a bit older. Very unsettling movie

Never seen her act before but I heard about her in 2018 because of wrestling, But Florence nailed her role in midsommer 2019 that I saw for the first time yesterday
What sucks is the role affected her mentally and gave her depression for 6 months we don't deserve her
