Why the FUCK doesn’t LA have a decent bathhouse any more?
Midtowne Spa closed in 2022, with an amazing pool, hot tub & roof deck. Melrose Baths closed in 2017.
Flex has pool but no jacuzzi, and NoHo Spa has only a steam room & sauna, no water features at all.
Slammer is just a sex club.

I know that Covid was the death knell way back in 2021, but seeing that the old Midtowne Spa building in Denver has been completely gutted and renovated is such a bummer. A real end of an era, I’ll miss the time I spent there.

A crane looming over the unfinished renovation of an office building at Peachtree and 14th streets in Midtown has raised safety concerns from nearby residents. Residents say the crane has been out of operation for four years, while renovations on the former Campanile building, now called The Midtowne, remain unfinished. Renovation and expansion of The Midtowne, owned by Dewberry Capital, began in 2019, before stalling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The building was gutted, but the bare-bones structure remains exposed to the elements. Midtown residents and businesses have complained that the work site is an eyesore and is decreasing property values.

Oh yeah, a lot of guys miss the baths. I only went to the Midtowne a couple of times and just didn't really have a good time.

Aw man Club Dallas! I used to go to Midtowne nearly every weekend when it was still functioning (RIP) because it was mostly bears, and Club Dallas used to mostly be twinks, but once Midtown shut down, it got really mixed and really sort of flourished. Glad it showed you a good time!
