Diplopseustis perieresalis (Palm Tabby - and a great example of why I encourage the use of common names!) 1st for VC28 (West Norfolk) and 5th for Norfolk, 9th Aug 2024 in my Dereham garden. Presumed adventive but occurred during a peak period of migration #norfolkmoths #teammoth #migrantmothsuk

It was all about the micros this morning. How does this look for Caloptilia honoratella? It’s NFG as was Argyresthia geodartella. European Corn-borer was nfy, and this lovely grey version of Acleris literana has emerged recently by the look of it…

164:21 to my South Hants (VC11) garden last night. Lots of pus action which made it challenging NFYs were many-plumed, oak-tree pug, waved umber, frosted green, angle shades, lunar marbled brown and 3 blossom underwings - could they be #migrantmothsuk #teammoth

Diasemiopsis ramburialis (Migrant Sable) in mid Norfolk last night. I’ve caught lots of good moths here incl. 3 county firsts but this may be the rarest @migrantmothuk.bsky.social so far.

4th for Norfolk (3rd this year) unless @norfolkmoths.bsky.social has others pending.
