I've pretty much written off getting *anything* new now because of it. Rack Pro for VCV Rack, Pigments when it goes on sale, *maybe* the Minifreak V, but that's it. Like... I'm not letting any kind of AI infect my process

The Minifreak 49 from Arturia seemed cool, but nothing compared to the Polybrute 12 on the sound front. And uh sound and usability seem key to me. I also tried the Novation Bass Station II which lacked teeth and seemed meh, and the Novation Peak which felt disappointing also despite prior desire.

A touch sensitive mod matrix? Cool. I had a minifreak and it was brilliant but I sold it because small synths eventually just annoy me. I just wanted a bigger version and they finally did it. Lost opportunity to call it a Superfreak instead they went with Minifreak 49?

Arturia's new synthesizer, the MiniFreak 49, has a preset called "URSSAF letter" and - of course, it sounds ominous. This is the most French synth preset name ever !
For the non-French: URSSAF is the government agency that collects social security contributions - a letter from them is never good...
