i think it works best when like, not the main thing.

like in villainous, every villain has to state what their wincon is. Except for Pete, who instead has a randomized pile of minigoals that he draws 4 of at the start of the game. it really makes him stand out

Might not entirely help, but whenever anxiety spikes for me Stardew Valley always grounds me back to smelling the roses. Something about the minigoals and communal vibes is rejuvenating

One of my minigoals for the year is making sure my discernment kicks in at the same time as me getting the ick and not after lol

I made bad choices in my early 20’s and I’m definitely still evolving and discovering new things in my 40’s. Don’t let some complete idiot on the internet tell you your life is over at 23. The real answer is always be reevaluating, always be setting minigoals. Enjoy your life.

Even tho the "game mode" can be different - giving us a different scoring system, were still bound by those fundamental mechanics and goals. I believe people can set their own minigoals; People can share/donate under capitalism just like they can stash and hide their capital under socialism
