I went on a hike over the long weekend and came across an interesting structure.
The Mirwart icehouse (Ardennes, Belgium) is an 80 m³ cavity dug around 1860 and restored in 1973. It was used as an old-fashioned freezer.

This one is near the Castle of Mirwart, but apparently the Castle itself has a smaller one inside the castle walls.

Thanks Peter, we walked between Forrieres and St Hubert in Belgium, with most sightings of this species around Mirwart. They kept in the shade and flew into the forest. Didn’t see one at rest so could well be A Tau - not a species I’ve ever seen before. Good to see forests with active management!
