People acting out or being weird towards you hits differently when you realize that at their core a lot of people simply don’t like themselves. And that manifests in lots of different ways.

It’s never their actual misbehavior, somehow.
One of the more annoying things that happens when we discuss online platforms is that when we criticize exploitative ones, there's always an implication that the writers working there are either gullible, enablers, or akin to scabs. It really kills any sense of community we as writers should have.
