Today, one of the multiple people who was shocked to learn Stevens was a Christian in response to one of my posts was an Israeli Jew. I’m not saying Stevens deliberately misled people, but she has been…very eager to claim the mantle and less eager to correct misconceptions.

I don't think the city will fall apart under a budget that's based in part on inaccurate incormation, misconceptions, and a maximalist approach to budgeting that funds vacant positions and uses "one-time" funds to pay for ongoing needs (again), but it's not a great situation.
