My #WontLookWednesday photo is at the park by Dunkie’s old house. Whenever we go there now, all I do is look for him. Mom says I still expect him to come walk down the street like he always did. 😿💔

Buddy - This man’s best friend.
2003 - 2021 - RIP

Riding in the car, romping on the farm, shopping, or relaxing at the beach, my world was Buddy’s world. Four years ago today, my world became much smaller when Buddy left it.

A red longhaired Doxie sits on the front seat of a car after leaving the groomer with a fresh, close cut for summer. A red longhaired Doxie sits under ivy and low hanging tree branches shaded from the sun. A red longhaired Doxie races along a paved driveway moving at Doxie light speed, ears floating as if gravity doesn’t exist. A red longhaired Doxie sits in its carrier inside a grocery cart its paws with freshly trimmed nails on full display.

Remembering my best friend, Kat, who passed away far too young 18 years ago today 💔 I think about you Kat every minute of everyday. You will forever be in my heart 💜 The adventures we had & the memories that were made, I cherish them dearly and to the end of time 🥰

A red longhaired Doxie lies looking out the open door, waiting for a deer or a squirrel or a bird to invite him out to play. A sunset over the ocean, viewed from the back porch of our beach retreat. Two empty chairs sit in the foreground, where we would relax and enjoy Buddy’s favorite view.

A red longhaired Doxie sits in its carrier inside a grocery cart looking to its left with its paws and freshly trimmed nails on full display. A red longhaired Doxie encounters a large crab on a black sand beach, first sniffing it with his nose, then getting an up-close look with his eyes, pulling at his harness to get just a bit closer. A red longhaired Doxie sleeps, tongue slightly out, on a sofa after a long walk on the beach. A red longhaired Doxie sleeps in its bed after a day of frolicking on the beach and receiving table scraps from naughty guests who think I didn’t see them feeding from the table. A good boy who doesn’t beg but whose cuteness gets rewarded.
