Today’s #BirdOfTheDay is any bird in #ClassicMono. This 🪶Red-necked Phalarope and its buddies were foraging in the shallows of #LakeChamplain at the #MissisquoiNWR during their fall migration a few years back.

Back in 2020, this 🪶Common Ringed Plover somehow found its way across the pond and into Vermont to delight the birders who were diligent and patient enough to pick it out amongst all the migrating Semipalmated Plovers.
