I think a lot about this time in grad school when I asked why federal surveys rarely oversample Asian Americans and often can't provide population estimates for us. The prof (full prof at the #1 public health program!) said "Because Asians don't have any health disparities."😦#modelminoritymyth

Unfortunately, some people deny racism exists by falsely claiming the success of some Asian American groups proves black & brown people don’t try hard enough. We must recognize racism exists and harms people. #ModelMinorityMyth #DEI
